Legacy
The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 295-295C (“Local 295”) received its original Charter from the International Union of Operating Engineers in November of 1958. Originally located in Brooklyn, Local 295 moved to Maspeth, Queens in 1993 upon the completion of the construction of its new office building for the Union and affiliated Benefit Funds.

Training
Local 295 members are trained to meet industry demands and stay ahead of the technological curve in the industry. The most complex and challenging facility and building maintenance systems are serviced and maintained by Local 295 members. The service and maintenance of such building systems cover air conditioning, refrigeration service, and installation. Together we lead an industry in service and maintenance.
-
Protection
We protect Local 295 members and their families by negotiating industry-leading agreements that establish competitive living wages, comprehensive health and welfare benefits providing family coverage, a dignified retirement, and safety and sustainability work rules. Together we create a path to America’s working middle class in skilled labor.
-
Organizing
The IUOE Local 295 is committed to organizing workers in the industry and creating a voice for stationary operating engineers. Over the years, Local 295 has raised working standards including wages and benefits for workers throughout New York and Connecticut. Together, we raise the voices of working families.
