The IUOE Local 295 educational fund offers education and training in the field of HVAC, Sheet Metal, Piping, and Sexual Harassment Courses.

Our skills improvement program focuses on training Local 295 members in new technologies and best practices in our industries. We work closely with industry leaders to ensure that our skills improvement program is training members on the most up-to-date systems and equipment.

IUOE International Training & Education Center (ITEC)

  • In addition to the training services offered by the IUOE Local 295 Education Fund, IUOE Local 295 has partnered with the IUOE International Training & Education Center (ITEC) to offer ITEC’s training classes to members. ITEC is a premier training facility serving union stationary engineers in North America. The ITEC was designed by union training directors and industry experts to meet the critical needs of our members and signatory employers throughout the United States and Canada.

    ITEC is dedicated to providing superior training classes to promote workforce excellence. Local 295’s partnership with ITEC ensures that its members will have access to training to obtain and improve their skills for the industry. This training opportunity offers a competitive advantage for our members and is at no cost to the member. We encourage all members to take advantage of the training classes at ITEC.   • The training center’s physical plant was designed with stationary training in mind. Troubleshooting and analysis can be done on operating plant equipment, and redundant systems can be taken offline for maintenance training.

    The spacious plant footprint allows the instructor and trainees room to work on the equipment and conduct a variety of hands-on training classes.

    Training can easily transition from the plant floor to the classroom, or to the solar panels on the rooftop.

    This state-of-the-art facility contains everything needed to develop the skills of the IUOE professionals who operate and maintain critical stationary equipment.
