Legacy

For over 80 years our region’s best engineers have carried an IUOE Local 30 card in their pocket. Local 30 members work in the engineering rooms of the iconic buildings that define New York and Connecticut’s culture including the Empire State Building, the Museum of Modern Art, CitiField, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, The Hartford Capitol Building and the symbol of America’s commitment to freedom – the Statue of Liberty. Together we empower communities.

Training

The IUOE Local 30 Training and Apprenticeship program is recognized as the standard setting program in engineering in New York and Connecticut. The only New York State Department of Labor certified curriculum in stationary engineering is taught by IUOE Local 30 instructors in our Apprenticeship and Training department. Local 30 members are trained to meet industry demands and stay ahead of the technological curve. The most complex and challenging power and facility maintenance systems are controlled by Local 30 members. Together we lead an industry.

Protection

We protect Local 30 members and their families by negotiating industry leading agreements that establish living wages, family sustaining benefits, a dignified retirement and work rules focused on safety and sustainability. Together we create a path to the America’s middle class.
